John May retired after 38 years in Fine Arts administration and music education.  Most recently he served as Senior Executive Director of Fine Arts for San Antonio ISD.  Prior to this, he was first an Instructional Coordinator, and then the Administrative Supervisor of Fine Arts for Austin ISD.  During his years as a teacher, he was a high school choral director, with his choirs winning numerous first division and sweepstakes awards.  He has provided clinics, workshops, and training sessions throughout the state for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), the Center for the Development of the Fine Arts (CEDFA), and numerous school districts.  His degrees include a BMEd. from Phillips University, an M.M. in Conducting from West Texas A&M University, and an Ed.D. in Music Education from the University of Houston.
