Crysta Wohleb is currently a music teacher and a fine arts facilitator in the Austin Independent School District. Crysta is a fourth generation Austinite, having graduated from AISD schools where she developed her love of music at an early age. Crysta is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she received her music degree. Crysta’s primary instrument is oboe. She has performed with local ensembles and community orchestras. In addition to teaching music, Crysta is also a certified yoga instructor. She is also completing her masters of education degree. Crysta is a jazz enthusiast and one of her favorite albums is John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman. She is passionate about sharing her love of jazz with her students and school community and is committed to the advocacy of music outreach programs in public schools.
