Todd Sloan has been involved in music since he was six years old, when he began playing cello in the Texas String Project. He is the owner of Westbank String Shop, Austin’s oldest family-owned violin shop, which specializes in providing instruments to young people in school orchestras throughout the greater Austin area. Todd is also a luthier serving the Austin string bass community. He is principal cellist of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra; plays piccolo and flute with the JitterBug Vipers; and sponsors multiple music festivals in the string world. He has been an AJW board member since 2015.
