Our Mission – To ignite a passion for music and encourage participation in school music programs among Central Texas youth.
Now in its 32nd season, the Austin Jazz Workshop brings the rich American jazz tradition to Central Texas school children through live performances and classroom visits.
Your tax-deductible donation will help us reach more children in underserved schools with this season’s show, “Roy Hargrove: A Moment in Time.”

With the cuts this year to the arts at the federal and state levels, it's more important now than ever, to support music programs in the schools. And in the harsh societal climate in which we now live, we must strive to nurture and develop our artistic, creative, and spiritual natures. Jazz is the art form that perhaps best embodies these ideas, and the Austin Jazz Workshop reaches and touches the lives of hundreds of students every year. It's vitally important that we keep the music flowing!
